Keith Austin takes you back to the foundation of the 1960's music and to all the sights and sounds of the early days of rock and roll.

On the Rockfiles, you'll explore the Early Sounds of Motown, the Beatles Invasion and the British Invasion, Plus, you'll hear The Doo-Wap bands and the Surf Sounds. In between, you'll Flashback to the 50's and Flash forward the great artists and songwriters of the 70's.

From there we will look at the Later Motown Years, the changing music of The Mid-Sixties and One Hit Wonders. Then, rediscover The Late 60's and explore the magic of the Writing Teams, and wrap up with the revolutionary sounds of San Francisco and New York and The 10 Greatest Artists of the Decade.

Each hour is a different page in the annals of Rock n Roll on the Rockfiles, all neatly packaged into six complete segments per hour. Total run time per hour is 48 minutes, with 12 minutes for local inventory.

Length
52 hours which gives you the flexibility to fit your format. You can air The Rock Files as a holiday weekend special or as a one to four hour weekly series. Each hour stands on its own.

There are more than 750 songs. Ninety percent were Billboard Magazine Top 40 hits. More than 80% of the songs are from the 1960's and 20% flashbacks to the 1950's (1955 to 1959).

There are 2 interviews in most episodes, more than 100 interviews in total with artists, heroes of politics, TV, and the silver screen. Many of them are exclusive, never before aired interviews, such as the 1959 Keith Austin interview with Bobby Darin, and new "look back" interviews with Pat Boone, Tom Jones, Tommy Smothers, Neal Sedaka, Freddie Cannon and Paul Revere.
